Fiona Odumosu is a Journalism graduate from Columbia College and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She has lived in Chicago for almost 14 years, and is originally from Dublin, Ireland, where her family still resides. Fiona embraces her multiracial ethnicity (Irish and Nigerian) and is fluent in her native Irish language (Gaeilge). A self-proclaimed shoe addict, Fiona loves all things fashion, especially vintage styles. She has worked in the nonprofit world for almost eight years, and is passionate about making a difference for children and youth through charity. In her current professional role, Fiona is responsible for the marketing and communication efforts of a global philanthropic organization based in Illinois. Girls Night Out – Go Red for Women Event In Chicago To Benefit American Heart Association

In just one day, your heart will beat 100,000 times, and about 35 million times in one year. This Thursday, February 28, you can wear Red and join fellow Chicagoans at to support the American Heart Association’s women’s heart disease awareness efforts.

This is the 3rd annual “Girls Night Out –Go Red for Women” event, and will be held at the Alhambra Palace Restaurant in downtown Chicago hosted by stars of CBS Radio – Showbiz Shelly from B96 and Dave Fogel from K-HITS.

Guests are encouraged to wear red at the 2013 Go Red for Women event.

104.3 K-HITS and Bath & Body Works joined together to sponsor this event. Guests can walk the red carpet, enjoy some shopping and see some new trends during a fashion show featuring some of Chicago’s newest designers including Anna Hovet, Christina Karin, Lagi Nadeau, Elizabeth Smith Fashions, Modahnik and Blank Nation Apparel.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Guests can pamper themselves with beauty services, and will receive an exclusive swag bag.

Event hosts include Alison Ray of Sassy Moms in the City/So Chic Media, Mafia Hairdresser from the Joseph Michael Salon, Katie Schuppler of KS Style Consulting and Sarah Cobb of Neighborhood Parents Network. Guests are encouraged to wear Red at this evening of music and entertainment.
