The Oscars are synonymous with glamour, poise and couture. There were so many great beauty looks that we found to be show stoppers. However, there were a few standouts that we are obsessed with, the hair, the makeup, the look, the glamour.
We love Charlize Theron and feel that she is a true style icon. She looked stunning on the red carpet and with that short hair do, it is very apparent that she is a beauty icon. While her makeup looked great, what we appreciate is that stunning skin. A spokesperson for Dior, however, she really does love the products in her beauty regime. We found out that one of her beauty secrets is to moisturize, she uses the super-rich Dior L-Or de Vie cream ($350). Charlize has spoken before and continues to credit her skin to using a sunscreen daily.
Reese Witherspoon brought cascading old Hollywood Glamour Hair to the Red Carpet. With reference to the Veronica Lake hairstyle, over the eye sweep and cascading curls, it was a beautiful look.
Dare to go Blue! We all remember in the ’80′s the signature blue eyeshadow and many are afraid to ever do blue as it takes you back to some wild trends. However, we are loving this sapphire eye color on Robin Roberts. It is a modern way to add some color and flair that compliments her dress. Her eyes pop and we love a risk that pays off.
Adele’s makeup always looks flawless, and last night was no exception. She has taken the winged eyeliner look and made it her own. We love that it is a classic vintage look with a modern twist that has become her signature glamour.
Anne Hathaway was glowing on the red carpet and look stunning. The trend that we love is the pink lip. It made a splash at NY Fashion week at shows and the shade that Anne wore complimented her skintone and overall look.
Halle Berry is another star that can really work a look on the red carpet. Her look from head to face really worked and showed the stars, signature look. From the faux-hawk to the smokey eye, nude lip and gorgeous skin. This Bond girl looks glamourous and camera ready.
Jennifer Lawrence perfected her look last night with a hair and makeup combo that complimented each other. Her hair looked great in an updo that was simple in the front and chic in the back. A fan of the smokey eye done but in a subtle way which does not take over the dewy look of her skin.
As we all know, the stars look amazing on the red carpet, however, much of the kudos need to go the hair and makeup teams that do a great job in creating amazing looks. The Beauty team at MissA would also like to congratulate the nominees in best makeup and hair and the winners Lisa Westcott and Julie Dartnell for Le misérables
