San Francisco Speed Rack To Support Fight Against Breast Cancer

Raising money for breast cancer awareness has never been more fun, innovative, and competitive as done by the ladies of Speed Rack. A competition created by and for women in the fight to raise money for breast cancer, Speed Rack is a national cocktail competition for strong females in the spirits industry. Female bartenders from select cities, including San Francisco, compete head-to-head in the cocktail challenge until the elimination process declares a winner. Finalists from each city are then able to join the national competition where one fabulous female will be a crowned Miss Speed Rack.

So how does it work? The boozy breast cancer benefit requires the ladies to make a round of randomly selected cocktails from a list of 50 popular and tasty drinks – and quickly. The bartenders, and their drinks, are judged based on accuracy, taste, presentation, and swiftness. Competing in a round-robin fashion, only the quickest and most skilled lady bartender can move forward to the next round. Speed Rack’s sponsors will partner in providing products and one hundred percent of the proceeds benefit breast cancer research, awareness, and charities. In 2012, the Speed Rack competitions raised more than $69,000!

The 2013 San Francisco Speed Rack competition is just around the corner. Last year, the San Francisco contest was one of the most intense and high-energy races, raising a total of $7,300 and crowning Jill Webster as the San Francisco finalist. This year we look forward to another exhilarating and successful battle of extreme bartending speed and accuracy and all for a great cause.

Join us for the epic showdown in San Francisco on Sunday, February 24. Purchasing a ticket allows you samples of the sponsors’ products, snacks, and front row seating in what will most likely be a full house. With cocktails, competitions, crowns, and more, you won’t want to miss out on this breast cancer benefit in San Francisco.
