It’s a New Year and time to follow through with those resolutions to get healthy. What better way to do so than by challenging yourself to complete a half-marathon while raising funds to support the more than 1.4 million Americans suffering from debilitating digestive diseases? The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is recruiting individuals to participate in their bi-annual Team Challenge program, an endurance training and fundraising program. Through Team Challenge, you can run, or walk, 13.1 miles, or train for a triathlon or cycling event while helping to find a cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, two chronic and often debilitating digestive diseases.

In addition to the unparalleled level of training each participant will receive, you will be making a larger impact by helping to support the research that is bringing the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America closer to finding a cure. The South Florida team, which has training locations in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, will work together to raise more than $160,000 to support research to find a cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Participants can choose between the Allstate Life Insurance Chicago 13.1 Half Marathon on June 8, 2013 or the Napa-to-Sonoma Half Marathon on July 21, 2013.

If you’d like to learn more about the Team Challenge program, you should attend an informational meeting at one of the following locations:

  • Thursday, February 21 – 6:30pm Duffy’s Sports Grill 4746 North Congress Ave., Boynton Beach, FL  33426
