Established just two years ago, Red Pepper Taqueria is making its mark in the Atlanta community by giving back to the city’s most noble causes. The Mexican eatery has just recently launched its “Nacho Average Taco” campaign, a monthly initiative to raise funds for charities in the Atlanta area. Executive Chef Mimmo Alboumeh will feature a specialty taco every month, each month highlighting local, organic ingredients with a portion of the proceeds from each taco going to further support the mission of a chosen charity.
For the month of February, the restaurant will feature a “Kale Me Hungry” taco, featuring organic kale habanero slaw, blackened chargrilled shrimp, avocado cream and micro cilantro with $1 per taco benefiting the Just Heart Foundation. Just Heart’s mission is to assist families with sick or hospitalized children by making utility, mortgage or other kinds of payments during the initial crisis. Recipients are encouraged to “pay it forward” when they have an opportunity.
Red Pepper serves bold South of the Border flavors made from fresh, organic ingredients 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Executive Chef Mimmo Alboumeh has combined over 20 years of culinary training and Mexican heritage to deliver an innovative menu with classic Mexican favorites to contemporary dishes bringing a fresh new perspective on the typical Mexican restaurant experience.
