The word chocolate always gets my attention, so when I saw a storefront called Mostly Chocolate on Selwyn Avenue in Charlotte, NC, I was pleasantly surprised. Once inside, I felt right at home with all the different chocolate products displayed. Mostly Chocolate has been in business for three years, with the majority of their sales being conducted online. All products are imported from Germany, Italy, Ireland and South America.
I tasted Hachez Cocoa de Maracaibo, a delicious chocolate bar from Germany. Also from Hachez are the 88% cocoa leaves, which are delicate in flavor and come in a nice tin for $5.95.
From Ireland, there is a 60 piece box of hazelnut truffles for $24.00. Another delicious import from Ireland are the Irish Cream filled truffles, 4.41 ounces for $9.95 and the Irish Whiskey (Jameson) filled truffles for $10.95.
Chocolate Santander has delicious chocolate covered coffee beans from Columbia. A bulk bag of 2.2lbs is $37.95. Mostly Chocolate also carried the Italian brands Pernigotti and Alberti Torrone. The store has an impressive display of large Old World tins, which make beautiful Valentine Day gifts, especially filled with their chocolate products.
