It’s February and we are coming up on one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year- Mardi Gras. But before you hop on the first plane bound for New Orleans, listen up! You don’t have to trek south this February to partake in the flamboyantly entertaining “Fat Tuesday” celebration. In fact, you can benefit from all things Mardi Gras while helping local organizations!
This year, Music City Tents & Events is hosting the annual Charities Bash 2013, Mardi Gras style! The Bourbon Street vibe of this much anticipated bash will hold true to its reputation by providing a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The night will provide a New Orleans inspired dinner by Red Pony Catering and a costume contest complete with prizes. Additionally, the masquerade will be hosted by Fox 17 Channel anchor, Stacy McCloud Green with music by DJ Minddub and Guilty Pleasures. Proceeds will go to benefit four local non-profit organizations including American Red Cross (Nashville Chapter), TJ Martell Foundation, Nashville Food Project, and Our Kids. Each attendee will be granted a vote for their favorite cause and the charity with the most tallies will receive the largest portion of the funds raised. So come hidden behind your most colorful mask and prepare to be drenched in beads and soaked in the spirit of Mardi Gras!
