This Valentine’s Day, give back to a great cause at Fashion in Action. This high-fashion event, presented by Kimpton Hotel and Restaurants and ActionAIDS, will be held in Center City at the contemporary restaurant Square 1682. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while mingling with attendees like fashion designer and Project Runway All Stars winner, Mondo Guerra. This soiree is true to Miss A’s own motto of “Charity Meets Style,” as proceeds from this fashionable event will support Action AIDS.

If you’ve been wondering what Guerra has been up to lately, Fashion in Action will give you a glimpse. The designer will be unvieling a new t-shirt design in honor of ActionAIDS. The event will include cocktails from St.Germain and treats from Kimpton’s highly-rated restaurant.

Established in 1986, the Philadelphia-based ActionAIDS “believes that no one should face AIDS alone.” The organization has formed a partnership with people both infected and affected to “sustain and enhance their quality of life.” Dining Out for Life, ActionAIDS’ signature event, was started in Philadelphia and is now held in over 60 cities. Fashion in Action is sure to become another notable event for the organization. Executive Director Kevin Burns invites you to “take action” and attending this event is a way of doing so.

Kimpton Hotel and Restaurants is a boutique hotel company providing comfort, service, security and style to travelers nationally. Founded by Bill Kimpton in 1981, the company “celebrates the individuality” of guests and employees. Square 1682 celebrates individuality by “Accommodating Every Appetite and Any Guest’s Special Requests.” Kimpton has donated to organizations for over 20 years to support the fight against HIV and its Red Ribbon Campaign celebrates its eighth year of raising hundreds of thousands of dollars that get donated to HIV charities.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day and mingle among stars while raising awareness of a disease that affects millions of people throughout our nation, and thousands locally. Let’s take action by showing people living with AIDS and their families that they are not alone. We, along with Kimpton Hotel and Restaurants and Action AIDS, are with them.
