Laser cut skirts, nude lips and fierce eyes will take you a long way this spring as fashion designers embrace the second coming of the “British Invasion” Mod Style. New York’s Spring Fashion Week 2013 featured some of the top designers’ take on the 1960’s trend with an upbeat twist. Marc Jacobs dashed the runway with black and white patterned pieces evocative of Warwick Avenue, while Carolina Herrera, Chloe and Calla added a splash of color and texture to their designs to embrace the new age and pay homage to the past.

The “Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself Eyes” by NARS offers a five product kit conditioned for consumers trying to create a dramatic eye look. NARS was also the makeup of choice for Marc Jacobs’ runway look, while Michael Kors chose to feature a reinvented take on the traditional Mod coal rimmed eyes by lining his models’ eyes with bright powders and pencils.
