On Tuesday, February 5th, Animal Aid USA is hosting an evening of celebration in honor of Animal Aid’s One Year anniversary. The event will take place at the Thom Bar in the Thompson Hotel in Soho from 6:30-8:30 p.m. There will be an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a presentation. It will be hosted by Prince Lorenzo Borghese, Georgina Bloomberg, Travis London, Stephen Baldwin, Eric Trump, Lara Yunaska, Jeff Kraus and Karen Talbot.
Founded in 2012, Animal Aid USA is a nonprofit organization of volunteers whose aim is to help animals. Each month they drive over 16,000 miles at their own expense to relocate animals from high-kill shelters. The animals are either delivered to no-kill shelters or placed in loving homes. They also raise money to fund spay and neuter programs in low income communities, as well as promote awareness to the legal cruelty occurring daily in the United States.
In addition, Animal Aid lobbies to abolish puppy mills and focuses on banning the inhumane ways animals are euthanized. They believe that with the proper education, the next generation will help continue improving the lives of animals, so they created the Animal Aid Club, which works directly with participating schools.
