The 6th Annual Dancing After Dark, brought to you by The Junior Council of Children’s National Medical Center, took place at House of Sweden last Saturday. It featured a red carpet, open bar, hors d’oeuvre, and performance by DC’s own Winn Brothers Band.
The Junior Council of CNMC is in its third year and is already one of DC’s best young professionals organizations to join. We spoke to Junior Council Co-Chairs Jim McInerney and Clare Bonsignore about the organization which is “on paced to have their most successful year” raising over $100,000 this year alone. They were thrilled to have the event sold out three weeks before and accredited this to their committee.
Funds raised throughout the evening will play a key role in supporting the work of Children’s National’s world-renowned faculty and staff. These critical funds help to provide top-notch care to children, regardless of their families’ ability to pay; invest in future cures for some of the most devastating childhood diseases; and recruit the best and brightest faculty, expand our programs, and update our facilities to provide the most innovative care for our patients.
We spotted Dancing After Dark committee co-chairs, Blair Bjellos and Craley Davis wearing dresses by Reese and Ted Baker, respectively.
