Florida Grand Opera kicks off its season with one of the most beloved operas in the world – The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte). Mozart’s last operatic masterpiece is a representation of the struggle between good and evil. The story revolves around a teenage boy who reads the book The Magic Flute at bedtime and, as he dreams, he is transported into the story. Two different worlds – the boy’s reality and a fantasy land – meld as the prince is asked by the Queen of the Night to rescue her daughter. As his quest nears its end, the boy comes to know who the real villain is in this story.
