Atlanta is filled with tons of boutiques and cutesy small businesses. When asked to highlight yet another boutique business in Buckhead, I was sure the experience would be quite routine.
However, if you’re expecting a retail space with “one-of-a-kind” party dresses and exquisite fashion jewelry, then Ona Atlanta boutique will surprise you! I recently visited the Ona–located in the Shops Around Lenox plaza–and the chic space is anything but a cutesy clothing store. Picture this: a feminine-inspired boudoir, filled with luxury selections of bubble baths, candles, pampered products and sweet smell aromas. These are just a few of a girl’s favorite things…
“That’s exactly the vibe,we were looking for!” says Sarah Bronczek, one-half of the sister duo that owns Ona Atlanta. Together, Sarah and her sister Jenny Bronczek run the luxury gift boutique. Since its opening just under a year ago, the two have built up the store’s presence in Buckhead single-handedly. “We’re here all day; we quit our jobs and decided to open the store. It’s been a dream of ours since we were little!” reports Jenny.
You can definitely see the T-L-C put into the Ona boutique. Every collection and/or item that is carried in the store is self-picked, tried and merchandised by Jenny and Sarah. “If we wouldn’t use or recommend the product ourselves, then you won’t see it in our store,” the two proclaim!
Currently, the store features everything feminine —from bath and spa products to accessories and treasured trinkets. Recently, they have expanded to offer, Jack Black, a signature skincare/shaving collection for men, as well as, Noodle & Boo–a natural baby skincare and luxury gift line. Top names, from New York to Paris, can also be found at Ona. Brands include: Shelley Kyle fragrances, Malin + Goetz skincare, Cote Bastide, Bellocq organic teas and top-selling luxury article and fragrance company, Lafco (also one of Oprah’s favorite things).”Everything in the store makes our customers feel good inside and out! That’s why they love coming back for more,” explains Sarah, “we’re like concierges to our return customers. We know what they like and have it pulled for them before they even come in!” Jenny also adds, “we’ve had customers call us up and ask us to make a gift basket of some of our best items, and people love it! That’s what we love about our store and our business!”
So what’s in store for Ona Atlanta? Aside from the popular must-haves, new and existing loyal customers can expect to see a rotation of new product lines being introduced into the merchandise. With continued success, both Sarah and Jenny agree that they want to create their own product line of candles and bubble baths exclusive to the Ona brand!
In the long run, Ona seeks “more locations in different cities as well!” adds Jenny. From the look of it, that endeavor isn’t too far-fetched, with the one year anniversary celebration of Ona Atlanta approaching on February 18th! Be sure to keep up with Sarah, Jenny and their products on Facebook and Twitter!
