Satisfy your inner foodie by attending the First Bites Bash 2013. Now in its sixth year, the event serves as an official kick off to Chicago Restaurant Week. Chefs from 50 restaurants will provide small portions of their tastiest creations. Chef Dirk Flanigan will host this year’s event with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
The bash will take place at the Great Hall of Union Station, providing the perfect locale for browsing and sampling the numerous restaurant booths. The evening will feature a Tasting Table Sweet Relief Lounge for those in need of a sugar fix. Peroni and Blue Moon will be available to mix and match with the food pairings of your choice. Participating restaurants include: Wildfire, The Bedford, Tesori, Café Ba-Ba-Reeba!, Carriage House, Paris Club and more. First in Line tickets are sold out, but you still have a chance to secure an adult admission ticket for $95.
This event marks only the beginning of the food party; Chicago Restaurant Week starts February 1. The city-wide culinary celebration was established to promote the restaurant industry and drive traffic during a typically slow time of year. More than 250 participating restaurants will feature prix fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33 to $44 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity).
Attend the First Bites Bash for an exceptional culinary journey, featuring the best of Chicago’s world-class dining establishments, that benefits a worthy cause. If the event leaves you hungry for more, be sure to make a reservation at any of the participating eateries for Chicago Restaurant Week.
