Ceci Dadisman is the arts marketing go-to gal! She is the Director of Marketing & PR at Palm Beach Opera where, in addition to all of the usual marketing duties, she manages all aspects of the company’s technology and new media projects, including social media, website, iPhone app, and live web streaming.

A frequent public speaker, Ceci focuses on empowering nonprofit arts organizations of all budgets through the smart use of technology and social media. Her recent and upcoming engagements include presenting at the OPERA America Conference, National Arts Marketing Project Conference, Florida Festivals and Events Association Conference, the Florida Direct Marketing Association's NonProfit Marketing Summit, Public Relations Society of America Palm Beach Chapter, and Association of Fundraising Professionals in addition to other local and regional appearances.

She is on the National Arts Marketing Project Advisory Committee, the Palm Beach County Cultural Council Marketing Committee, is the President of the American Marketing Association – South Florida Chapter, VP of Technology of the Florida Direct Marketing Association, and is the OPERA America Marketing Network Chair.

Ceci was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and is a die-hard Steelers fan. She graduated from West Virginia University (Let’s Go Mountaineers!) with a music degree in vocal performance and is also a professional classical singer. She currently resides in West Palm Beach with her husband James, baby son Franklin, and miniature schnauzers Milo and Maya.

Do you love museums but can never go because you work during the day?  Well, the  Norton Museum in West Palm Beach has set out to change that with Art After Dark every Thursday night from 5 to 9 p.m.  Each week, attendees can enjoy food, entertainment, museum tours, and special activities galore.

This week (Thursday, January 24, 2013), the event is Italian-themed and the schedule includes local columnist Frank Cerabino playing the accordion, an Italian language lesson, a performance of Italian arias by Palm Beach Opera, and Dana Paul performing the music of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.  Sounds like a fun evening!

Admission to the museum is $12 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children under the age of 12.  Entrance to Art After Dark is included with your museum admission.
