2013 New York City Winter Restaurant Week

Christmas and New Years may be over, but like it does every year, New York City is boasting with ways to ring in 2013 and extend the festivities. From January 14th to February 8th, New Yorkers from all five boroughs will assemble and welcome one of the most loved events of the year: the winter New York City Restaurant Week.

Restaurants like Nobuyuki Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro’s Nobu will be participating in Restaurant Week during lunchtimes with three course Japanese lunches consisting of an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert for $25. And should you fancy a delectable Japanese dinner, don’t worry, Nobu Next Door will be open for dinner with a three course dinner of an appetizer, entrée and dessert for $38.

Bobby Flay’s signature American cuisine at Mesa Grill is another hot spot this season with special lunch and dinner menus available on weekdays that include Mahi Mahi Tacos, Creamy Wild Mushroom Grits and Coconut Bread Pudding.

French, Italian and Spanish restaurant Fig and Olive is also offering a wide and delicious selection of dishes that is sure to benefit vegetarians worried about a lack of selection. Examples of dishes that will be served are truffle mushroom croquettes, penne funghi and romaine and endive baby beet salad, all carefully crafted to contain the best and freshest ingredients by executive chef Pascal Lorange.

Ever since its inception in 1992, NYC Restaurant Week has guaranteed to cater to you and your stomach’s desires, whether it be French, Japanese or traditional American food, with finely fashioned dishes from all around the globe, all for fabulous prices. And in my opinion, there is no better place in the world to celebrate the diversity of food and Restaurant Week than the mother of it all, New York City.
