As the New Year rolls in, Hollywood also brings to us new blockbusters. The cold winter months have many of us wanting to stay indoors, so below is a quick preview of some movies that are hitting theaters in January.
Texas Chainsaw 3D
When a young teenager, Heather (Alexandra Daddario), realizes she is adopted and has an inheritance, she heads to Texas with friends to collect. Unbeknownst to Heather, also included in her new family is her cousin, the infamous Leatherface. The horror film picks up where the 1974 classic leaves off, “Texas Chainsaw 3D” hits theaters the beginning of January.

Gangster Squad
Set in the 1940s-50s, “Gangster Squad” is an action movie that focuses on LAPD detectives and their attempt to keep the East Coast gangsters out of the streets of Los Angeles. Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling) team up to keep mob leader Mickey Cohen’s (Sean Penn) world apart from Los Angeles.

Broken City

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
A new darker spin on the old classic fairy tale, “Hasel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” follows Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton), the fierce brother and sister duo, as they take on the witches of the world. When children from a town go missing, they help by using their skills to track and hunt the dark spirits that have them captured.
