Guy Forsyth and Carolyn Wonderland will perform new and old holiday classics with their own unique and crafty interpretations throughout the tunes.
Guy Forsyth arrived in Austin in 1990 with only a guitar and harmonica. Guy’s musical talent coupled with his wit helped him gain the attention he deserved in the competitive Austin music scene. Guy notes “. . .music has always been such an inspiration to me, a thing that has provided a level of ecstasy more than any other distraction or entertainment.” Guy’s clever personality and dynamic energy proves to captivate his audience.
Carolyn Wonderland’s life has some of the same ingredients as Guy’s as an emerging talent whose passion that would only grow over time. Carolyn grew up a child of a singer in a band and began playing her mother’s vintage guitar when other girls were playing with dolls. Carolyn spent many nights in Austin in the beginning of her journey sleeping in her van. Just like Guy, Carolyn’s fire within to perform helped her to remain determined and fight through the trials that comes with making a name for yourself in the music industry.

“A musical force equipped with the soulful vocals of Janis and the guitar slinging skills of Stevie Ray, Carolyn Wonderland reaches into the depths of the Texas blues tradition with the wit of a poet. She hits the stage with unmatched presence, a true legend in her time.”
