Voluptuous Fergie hit the red carpet in a red sequin Monique Lhuillier dress and Fergalicious Shoes by Fergie at the Mondrian Hotel SkyBar Thursday, December 6. Fergie and Voli Light Vodka raised over 500,000 minutes at the Cellphones for Soldiers Event this holiday season. Voli Light Vodka worked with CharityBuzz.com for an online auction for a VIP table at the event hosted by Fergie. For more information about donating and this auction opportunity visit VoliLight’s charity page.
Cell Phones for Soldiers Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans. Based in Norwell, Massachusetts, Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded in 2004 by Robbie and Brittany Bergquist, then 12 and 13 years old. The organization has provided more than 168 million minutes of free talk time to deployed military members. Beginning in 2012, “Helping Heroes Home” will provide emergency funds for returning veterans to alleviate communication challenges as well as physical, emotional and assimilation hardships. For more information, visit Cell Phones for Soldiers, Helping Heroes or Cell Phones for Soldiers’ Facebook.
Guests supporting this great cause included Kaley Cuoco, Ali Fedotowsky (from The Bachelorette), Ne Ne Leakes (from Real Housewives Atlanta and Celebrity Apprentice) , Aubrey O’Day, Kyle Massey, Playboy playmate Bridget Marquardt, Eva Marcelle, Joanna Krupa, Bai Ling, Hana Mae Lee, Carolyn Hennessy, Nicole Murphy, Stephen Colletti, DJ Poet and more!
Fergie and friend DJ Poet got the party started by spinning tunes of “Black Eyed Peas” while sipping on Voli Light Vodkas. Specialty tasty drinks that were being sipped on all night included the Fergatini, Red Carpet with Voli raspberry cocoa, and Voli Splash with Voli Mango Coconut – so yum! My favorite new Voli Vodka – espresso vanilla fusion.
I had a chance to chat with Real Housewives Miami Joanna Krupa who shared her support of women in combat. “If women feel passionate about it, then they should be allowed to do it. If it wasn’t for the troops, we wouldn’t be here talking about it. I think it it wonderful that we take time to do events like these to show the troops that we really love them, that we really care.”
Fergie shared that she will be hosting the New Years Dick Clark special with Ryan Seacrest to bring in the 2013 year. Fergie also announced that she is staying in LA for the holidays with that dreamy husband of hers, Josh Duhamel.
