From Our Lists:
We have it on good authority that Dallas loves a beauty. One of our secrets for looking great is Abi Ferrin. The line of the same name benefits the hope inducing Freedom Project which makes the figure flattering, multi-tasking fashions in an array of fabulous colors that make looking good while doing good a breeze. Not sure where to start? I’d go with the Nikki, a 5 way classic that can take you from day to night.

Madison is one of those stores where you can always find something fabulous. A braided rope inspired bracelet caught our eye and had us sighing with delight and scribbling away hint notes for the holidays to come. If you stop by, be sure to check out the selection of home goods and treasures for the giving.

When someone has everything, sometimes the best thing you can give them is the fabulousness of a home cooked meal. When we stopped by the new crave-worthy Greenville haunt, Jack’s Southern Comfort Food, we couldn’t help, but smile. Hot biscuits, family service, easy parking, delicious desserts and tasty entrees that kids and adults both love, you will be sure to have a winner on your hands. Make your bestie or that busy mom you know (or even yourself ) super happy by picking up a glam casserole to-go (approx. $20) and a side of those homemade biscuits. Add a card that says, “Happy Holidays” with the reheating instructions. Or even one of their handcrafted denim aprons that benefit the Bridge Network; if my own kids are any indicator, I know you’ll get lots of thank yous.

Merry and Bright Special at Facelogic
Skincare is a must and sometimes life gets nuts and the time to pack these pampering treatments in becomes a luxury experience. Recently, we sampled the fabulous Merry and Bright Special at Facelogic which benefits the Empowered by Light program which provides solar-powered LED lights for children in Zambia. Dallas-based Biosanes co-founder Faryn Clark has partnered with Facelogic to gift the LED lights for every Merry and Bright facial offered as a gift. Facelogic specializes in luxurious services designed to comfort, perfect, protect and recharge the wary. We opted for the 60 minute treatment, it included a fabulous massage, 5 percent peel based with organic, Stone Crops and a natural hydroquinone alternative which soothes and brightens the skin. Pampering, relaxing and a perfect respite from a hectic schedule. Be sure to ask about a gift membership and Biosanes Magic Cookies (we love the Granola Cranberry) adored by the cast of Dancing With the Stars.

Creamy, dreamy cashmeres, unique buttery soft leathers, layerable knits for men and women and an affordable treasure trove of trinkets and sparkly finds to dress up and dress down an outfit to perfect are to be found at Snider Plaza’s new hipster spot, Piermarni.
The highly curated, limited edition outpost ran by John Piermarni has crafted an outpost of stash-worthy treats for the undercover fashion lover. One thing I loved is that John hand picks pieces and carries them in limited numbers so that the risk of running into your fellow stylite wearing the same outfit will be a rarefied experience.
Be sure to check out the soft layers at great prices for the men in your life and check out the fun collection of stackable rings for a neat stocking stuffer.
Our pick for him: The Grab and Go Leather Wallets. For you: Any one of the jersey blend tees — I’ve got my eye on the fabulous grey and black knit.

Local wineries can produce special treasures unique to a particular time and place. Times Ten Cellars nestled in the cozy Lakewood alcove is one of our favorites. Carrying a variety of local wines and hosting casual pizza nights with the life-changing Il Cano Rosso, guests become family in minutes. Stop in to the lounge for a glass of a yummy red, a taste of Rob’s Pimento Cheese and a Dude, Sweet truffle or three while you grab a bottle or two of the Blend X for gifting.

Two of the most valued words in the English language are “Thank You.” They convey the meaning that you are special and that you are loved and appreciated. Local paperie, Bell’Invito has a lovely solution in their postage included thank you notes. I am partial to the fabulous Bird on a Wire set, but I find that “Much Appreciated” set brings a smile.

Universal presents are the hardest to find. Even more difficult are the ones that mom, dad and the kids will love. One of my favorites is the S’more Tower from OMG S’mores benefiting the North Texas Food Bank. The holidays are a time when families are the hardest hit with the force of lack and want — OMG S’mores by local Dallasite Stacy Fawcett has come up with a brillant way to help in a delicious way. Each tower has delicious artisian marshmallows, graham crackers, yummy gourmet chocolate and roasting rods in a gift ready tubular tower. If my kids and our Dallas team are any indicator, happy giggles will abound.
“Fashion. Form. Function.” is the tagline for Dallas design house Ashard Ritchley. We love that their clutches are perfectly designed to hold your latest technological present and can double as your night bag at the same time. Beautiful colors, lovely textures and fashion forward design bring to light the fantasticness that makes us great fans of award-winning Ashley Burghardt and her team. Not sure what to pick: Our vote is the multi-tasking Busta or the snap happy Envelope. In neutral leathers or trendy brights with pockets to hold your favorite device or your nightly essentials, you’ll find this is your go-to bag!
