Following the success of their summer pop-up shop, Goodwill of Greater Washington is bringing Edited for Goodwill back just in time for the holidays. The space, donated by Pepco and designed by Gensler, won’t only be decked out with all of Goodwill’s finest winter apparel and accessories, but the interior will be turned into a winter wonderland to coincide with their this season’s Peace & Goodwill theme.
And as if the low prices aren’t reason enough to check out the popular pop-up, your all-out holiday shopping spree will also be going toward a good cause. Pepco will match every dollar the store generates up to $25,000 to raise money the organization uses to clothe and generate jobs for those less fortunate. Not only that, but National Charity Services furnished a 2005 Audi that will be raffled off at the store.
“While the success of our inaugural pop-up made our decision to try it again an easy one, the generosity Pepco has shown by offering to match the store revenue is overwhelming,” said Brendan Hurley, Goodwill of Greater Washington’s Chief Marketing Officer. The shop will open at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery which was established to support nonprofit arts organizations much like Goodwill.
WHEN: Wednesday, December 12 to Thursday, December 13 2012 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday, December 14 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
