Review Of Dixie’s Tupperware Party At The Galleria Theatre In Denver

If someone were to ask “Who was Brownie Wise?” and “What is Tupperware?” more would probably have an answer for the latter than the first. But why does that matter? Well, it matters and Dixie Longate from “Dixie’s Tupperware Party can tell you why.

A one-woman show, “Dixie’s Tupperware Party” is a fun-filled party flourished with laughter and passion showcasing products fit for any kind of food storage – and it’s not just for women. From the typical bowls and cereal container to the duo-functioning steak marinade/cupcake pan (or jelly-shot holders if you want to be creative), Dixie’s witty remarks and charming personality will have you relearn and appreciate food storage again.

Partying up at the Garner Galleria Theatre, the small but intimate venue is perfect for “Dixie’s Tupperware Party.” The moment you walk in the party begins where you’ll be personally greeted by Dixie, a bowl of mints and one of her sassy compliments that can have you roll with laughter or blush bright red.

During the party, you’ll be surprised to find products that may seem familiar but and with more functionality and a fun twist. In fact, all of Dixie’s products are ergonomically designed and can be purchased after the party or online. You can definitely learn more about her products online but it’s not the same to be able to see it live and watch a demonstration by Dixie.

But how does Brownie Wise fit into Dixie’s party?

Brownie Wise was a pioneer in her time. She quickly became the vice president of Tupperware after creating the Tupperware house parties, which were proven successful because after 50 years the party still lives on. Plus, other industries such as cosmetics, health products etc. have followed her formula, extending her legacy in American business.

After understanding the positive ripples Brownie Wise has created in the community, Dixie decided to continue the legacy on her own, hence the birth of “Dixie’s Tupperware Party.”

Yes, “Dixie’s Tupperware Party” is a play, but no, it’s not your typical play. In fact, one shouldn’t even call it a play because it really is a party and with the spirit of Brownie Wise, the party is honestly more than just a celebration of Tupperware. It is a celebration of friendship, connection and love.

Dixie may have you in (happy) tears by the end, but you’ll leave feeling uplifted and rejuvenated, which Dixie hopes that we’ll pass it on to our friends, family and neighbors.
