The holidays are here and Echter’s Nursery and Garden Center has paired up with Hope House of Colorado to bring some cheer to teen moms. On Thursday, November 29th, Echter’s is hosting an evening of celebrations complete with all the trimmings. There will be food and drink provided by local restaurants, live music by Tina Gugler and Debbie Clayton, and local vendors ready with the perfect gifts you have been searching for. Tickets are available for $20 with $10 going directly to Hope House. They are also donating 15 percent of all profits from the evening to Hope House.

Hope House works with teen mothers to help them become self-sufficient through education and community support. Teen mothers are often ostracized from their families and their community. Most of these moms live below the poverty line and less than 1 percent will graduate from college. These are statistics that Hope House wants to change for the better. Hope House helps these new families by providing residential assistance, GED help and mentoring programs. They have parenting classes and offer the kind of support a new young mother needs. Their goal is to create self-sufficient mothers that can go on to provide for themselves and their child.
