Denver’s Sushumna Chocolat: Eating To Connect The Physical With The Divine

Sometimes chocolate is just the divine treat we were searching for. Now, thanks to two local business women, we can all indulge in our favorite sweet and align our inner chakras at the same time. Amity Cooper and Sally Belk have combined their business savvy with their love of yoga and chocolate to create the inspired Sushumna Chocolat.

Sushumna is the Hindu word for ‘super-highway.’ It is the line which connects our chakras stemming from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. There are seven chakras in our body, and they each have a certain role to play in our spiritual life. For example the Muladhara chakra is considered to be located at the base of the spine and it is related to feeling grounded and stable. The seventh chakra, the Sahasrara chakra, is located at the crown of the head and is associated with transcendence. Each chakra has a color associated with it. The Muladhara chakra is associated with red and the Sahasrara chakra is paired with white.

Each chocolate has specific flavors which relate to a specific intent. The Sushumna chocolate is created with a blend of hemp oil, exotic mushroom extract, cashews and milk chocolate. The expressive chakra, chakra five, uses peppermint and dark chocolate to inspire you to release your inner artist. It is suggested that by consuming certain foods or specific scents we can have certain intended effects on our body. This is the main idea behind Sushumna Chocolat: eating with the purpose to connect the physical with the divine. To learn more, visit their website.
