National Restaurant Chains Offer Free Food For Military Service Men And Women In Honor Of Veteran’s Day

Tomorrow is Veterans Day  number  and a number of local businesses are saluting veterans, military service men and women today. Here are a list of great places offering discounts and free food

Applebee’s

Applebee’s is offering the military a free meal on Veterans Day. The restaurant has a preset menu to choose from, with seven Signature dishes. Proof of service is required and the offer is good all day long, for dine-in only. Beverages and gratuity are not included.

On The Border

Sizzling Salute to Veterans” promotion. Mention this special, and On the Border will donate 15% of your purchase to Carry the Load, a non-profit military organization. Veterans and Service members with ID who dine at On The Border on November 11, 2012 will receive a certificate for a free entree (up to $10) valid from 11/12/12 through 11/30/12 (valid at corporate locations only).

SUBWAY Restaurants

Select SUBWAY® Restaurants will offer a FREE six inch sub or flatbread to military veterans on Veterans Day. This offer is valid only on November 11, 2012 at participating local SUBWAY® restaurants, Military ID or proof of service required. Note: SUBWAY® Restaurants are franchises, so this offer may not be available everywhere. Please call ahead for participation and times.

Chili’s

Military members can choose between eight free meals on Nov. 11 at Chili’s, available for dine-in only. You can also score a sweet deal and pay only $5 for any dessert on the menu. Proof of service is required and beverages and gratuity are not included.

Veterans are invited to Hooters on Veterans Day to enjoy 10 free wings, with the purchase of a beverage. Proof of military service, past or present, is required. Check the website for a list of Hooters locations that are participating in the offer.

Free lunch, Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. Valid for all US Military personnel and veterans. Must wear uniform (if permitted by your service) or present military ID or other proof of service. Only valid at participating locations for anyone with an old or current military ID.

The Olive Garden

Veterans can snag a free meal at Olive Garden on Nov. 11. Choose from a preset menu of five different meal options. Like all good Olive Garden meals, this free food offer includes complimentary bread sticks and your choice of soup or salad. Offer good for veterans and active duty military, on Sunday, November 11 during regular business hours. Chose from a special menu; all entrées inlcude freshly baked garlic sticks and choice of soup or salad. Offer good in US and Canada, proof of service required.

7-Eleven

Free Slurpee, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Offer good to all current and former military members. ID or proof of service required

On Nov. 12, Spaghetti Warehouse will celebrate Veterans Day with a special, one-day “buy one entree, get one free” coupon. They are encouraging guests to use the coupon to invite a veteran to lunch or dinner. With the coupon, guests will be able to choose one of the restaurant’s 11 Original Recipe Spaghetti entrees and receive a second entree free. The coupon is available online, beginning Nov. 5.

Uno Chicago Grill

Free individual pizza or entrée with the purchase of a pizza or entrée of equal or greater value. Available for all active duty and veterans. No coupon necessary; proof of service required

Texas Roadhouse

Military members can grab a free lunch from a select menu at Texas Roadhouse on Nov. 12. Also receive a soda, iced tea or coffee on the house!

Stop into McCormick & Schmick’s on Nov. 11 to get your Veterans Day free meal. You can choose your free lunch or dinner entree from a limited menu. Reservations are recommended, and military ID is required.

Golden Corral is offering a complimentary meal on Nov. 12 from 4 to 9 p.m. to anyone who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on active duty. The offer, dubbed “Military Appreciation Monday,” is for dine-in only and no proof of service is required. All Golden Corral restaurants nationwide will participate in this event.

Enjoy a free pizza and non-alcoholic beverage on Nov. 11 or 12 at California Pizza Kitchen. Offer valid for dine-in only. Proof of service is required.
