Teia Collier is the City Editor for Dallas. A native Texan with a passion for politics, history, food, books and fashion, she is on a mission to explore and experience the best that life has to offer while sharing Southern hospitality with all she meets. Back in Mesquite, Texas after spending nearly a dozen years in Washington, DC, she loves wearing her snakeskin boots again and taking in the best of Texas food, culture, shopping, events and museums. Teia spends her days writing, playing with her young children and "saving the day" with her concierge consulting company. She is also Director of Corporate Sponsorships for the North Texas Food Bank's Young Professionals Round Table and active in local children's and family charities.

Recap: A Night In Monte Carlo To Benefit Dress For Success Dallas

The air bubbled with excitement as Dallas area guests entered Park Place Volvo to the light strumming of acoustic guitarist Eric Dorton. The space had been transformed for the 3rd Annual Casino Night benefiting Dress for Success sponsored by Michael Molthan Luxury Homes and GrandLuxe MagazineAVID’s Alana Villanueva and team, recently named one of D Magazine’s Best Interior Designers, can be credited with a heavy hand in crafting the spectacular ambiance of fun, luxury and excitement that complimented sounds of happy laughter and the sweet feeling of success as revelers gambled for the local charity.

Guests enjoyed passed treats and cocktails sponsored by Barefoot Wineries between surprise guest entertainment numbers by recent Dallas transplant via 16 years as a part of the cast of Broadway’s “Phantom of the Opera” John Kuether, leading lady Catherine Carpenter Cox and veteran actor and director Doug Miller.

The ensemble, that performed separately, was supported by the fantastic and contagiously fun Park Cities Dance Performing Company and The C.A.S.T, Numbers like “Hey, Big Spender” and “Luck Be A Lady” were highly lauded by guests and complimented the night’s theme with added an unique element of zest and energy.

After a night of praised revelry, Dress for Success Dallas is already hard at work on next year’s extravaganza.
