Shaddock Homes, the leading luxury and green home-builder in North Texas, and Pottery Barn – Stonebriar Mall will kick off the 2012 holiday season with “The Art of Holiday Entertaining” from 6-9:30 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012, at the Shaddock Homes’ Model at Villages of Stonelake Estates. All proceeds, including ticket price and raffle sales, support the charitable endeavors of Frisco-based nonprofit Sisterbration.
Design studio specialists from Pottery Barn – Stonebriar Mall will host demonstrations and provide personalized assistance on how to artfully decorate tabletops and living spaces just in time for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. Guests will enjoy live entertainment provided by Phil Aelony & Co, holiday-inspired appetizers and festive drink samples, along with a silent auction and a raffle for a Caterer’s 12-Piece Stemware Set donated by Pottery Barn.
All funds raised from the event will directly benefit Sisterbration, one of the nation’s most successful providers of women’s and girls’ health and empowerment services. Sisterbration implements evidence-based mentoring and childhood obesity prevention programs at five Frisco area schools, creating after-school programming that serves over 350 program participants with best-in-class curricula specially designed for girls ages 8 to 18.
The event will also showcase some of the best and brightest holiday entertaining ideas including home decorating, gift wrapping, holiday cards and stationery, photo display projects, tree/wreath decorating and much more. Guests will also have exclusive access to the holiday fashion collection by High Maintenance – Couture in a Can, a high-end mobile stylist.
“Entertaining for families and friends is a huge component of the holiday season,” said Alan Wolff of Shaddock Homes. “We believe that entertaining is as much about the space you create as it is about the meal being served, which is why it is an honor to host The Art of Holiday Entertaining event at our beautiful model home at Villages of Stonelake Estates.”
Additional donors and contributors include Paper Affair, Stella & Dot, Mixed Bag Designs, ABC Bartending School of Dallas, KPL Communications and Coverage Solutions.
Tickets to The Art of Holiday Entertaining are $35 and include all demonstrations, food and adult beverages, and automatic entry into the raffle. Tickets may be purchased online via Eventbrite.com by November 6.
