On Wednesday night, more than 100 people came to Lucia in the North End of Boston to celebrate its 35 years in business. The Frattaroli Family opened the family restaurant shortly after coming to Boston from the Abruzzo region of Italy.
Friends, family and local celebs attended the event where the owners of Lucia, Donato and Filippo Frattaroli, donated $3,500 to the Boston Bruins Foundation. The Foundation provides grants to organizations that meet the standards of its mission, concentrating on the following four areas where it is best able to enrich the community: athletics, academics, health and community outreach.
Attendees included Car Czar Herb Chambers, NHL Commentator Kathryn Tappen and Former Bruins Player and Foundation Executive Director Bob Sweeney.
