Walking up to The Belmont, you could feel the excitement and generosity of the pink ladies lined up for Austin Beauty Week’s Beauty Bar.
Austin Beauty Guide rolled out the pink carpet for guests, handing them goodie bags as they made their way through the room. As guests walked around, they sipped on a signature pink cocktail and enjoyed complimentary samples and services from several Austin vendors. Beside the beauty treatments, the Grill Girls served up some light snacks on the deck.
The Beauty Box 5 ladies looked stunning in pink, as they handed complimentary beauty boxes to a lucky group of ladies. Founder Joanna Moreno launched Beauty Box 5 in January of 2012. Each month subscribers get various beauty samples delivered to their door. Moreno loved the being able to support a great cause while sharing samples with attendees.
Austin Beauty Guide’s Meredith Davis looked gorgeous as she mingled with guests and made sure everything ran smoothly. Davis loved seeing all the pink at the event. This was the first time Austin Beauty Guide partnered with Komen for the bi-annual week. Davis is excited about the opportunities to expand beauty week and really make it big.
The Austin Beauty Guide team covered a lot of bases for this event. From nails to hair, to makeup and skincare, there were several fun ways to pamper yourself and the perfect opportunity to try new treatments. One cool item was the Color Bug by Kevin Murphy. The Color Bug is an easy to use applicator that instantly adds color to your hair, and it is also very easy to take off.
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it was an ideal opportunity for Austin Beauty Guide to partner with Komen Austin. Komen Austin’s Jennifer Hatch and Jeannine O’Deens helped educate attendees about Komen and remind them about the race that is on November 4 in Austin. The Beauty Bar allowed Komen to easily target a big group of their target demographic at once.
Through this event, Austin Beauty Guide raised more than $1,000 dollars for Komen Austin.
