It is estimated over 228,000 woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. This weekend you have a great opportunity to update your ‘do for the cure! On Sunday, October 28, Giovanni & Pileggi, one of the city of Philadelphia’s top salons, is hosting a special fundraiser in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Talented stylists from the salon will donate their services and provide haircuts for only $25 and blow dries for just $20. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this one day event will go to Breast Health International. Their mission: to work with the world’s best minds to find a cure for breast cancer. It is their goal to ensure that no one touched by cancer walks alone.
Cuts For A Cause is being held in honor of Joan Pileggi, a local entrepreneur, 2012 Visionary Award recipient and dear friend of Giovanni & Pileggi, who has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Light refreshments will be served, so grab your gals and make an afternoon of it.
