Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Celebrates 20th Anniversary

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade‘s mission to fight against the disease. With nearly $800 million raised for breast cancer awareness, education and research to find a cure, as well as funding medical services for screening, diagnosing and accessing treatment, the beauty company’s foundation has become the cause’s top corporate-affiliated supporter in the world. Since 1992, $285 million of total funds have been raised from sales of cosmetics, jewelry and accessory products through the Pink Ribbon program, in which all net profits go towards supporting the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade mission to “improve the lives of women globally.”

Whether you’ve shown your support by participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in a city near you (or plan to do so this weekend in Charlotte, N.C., October 27-28), or wish to do so by donating to the Crusade, consider purchasing a 2012 pink ribbon product in light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every pink ribbon product comes with a free Breast Health Resource Guide educational brochure.
