Philadelphia Magazine and PA Wine & Spirits cordially invite you to the  reinvented 2012 Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival, formerly known as the Philadelphia Whiskey Festival.

This year, with its new name, new VIP tasting (which includes a private tour of the Linc, early event entry and a PA Wine & Spirits gift card), new venue and newly expanded selection of spirits, the festival is sure to please any level of spirits enthusiast. Held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Lincoln Financial Field from 6:30-9 p.m. (5 p.m. for VIP tasting), you will find yourself surrounded by over 200 premium spirits from around the world. Sample whiskey, scotch, bourbon, tequila, gin, rum and vodka as well as visit the on-site PA Wine & Spirits Store to take home your favorite sips of the evening.

Special meet and greets with industry representatives, such as Beam’s World of Whiskies’ Fred Noe, Simon Brooking and John Campbell as well as Hennessy’s own Jordan Bushnell. Exclusive spirits and mixology demonstrations will take place throughout the evening. A highlight you won’t want to miss is a chance to vote for the The Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience, where local bartenders will engage in a head-to-head bourbon cocktail competition. Event participants will taste and cast their votes for the best cocktail. Don’t forget to stop by and sample some Sailor Jerry Rum where you can hop in a photo booth for some fun snapshots too.

If this evening simply sounds like too much fun, here’s the catch. Proceeds from the evening’s raffle will benefit SafeHome Philadelphia, a local non-profit organization that works to ensure every child has a safe place to sleep and every parent has an affordable home. SafeHome creates a united, safe, self-sufficient Philadelphia by integrating homeless families into our community. Be sure to purchase raffle tickets to further support the independence and community Philadelphians take pride in through SafeHome Philadelphia.
