Fashion At Austin City Limits Music Festival 2012

Through the course of the Austin City Limits Festival, the fashionistas were out in full force. All three  days were filled with beautiful ladies dressed fashionably. Going into the festival, I knew to expect the unexpected and prepare myself for anything. With that in mind, the ladies of Austin and the performers blew me away with their style.

While there were many amazing looks on the grounds at Zilker Park, my favorite one came from one of the performers. Kimbra, who performed Sunday morning, looked beautiful as she sang her hits. Her purple and white corset-like top complimented her skirt perfectly, and the jacket was a nice touch. She even had time for a quick costume change, taking off the top layer of her skirt to reveal a tutu-like skirt underneath.

Even the rain that came with day two, didn’t stop the ladies from shaking off the water and strutting on to the next show. Crystal and Taylor were precious in their simple, but funky, looks. Crystal’s printed shorts were actually a pair of her grandfather’s swimming trunks that she put on. The simple black shirt complimented the bold print very well. Taylor looked wonderful in the fringe top and shorts. She admitted that she borrowed the shirt from her roommate, mainly because she just loved the fringe so much.

With comfort as the primary goal, there were many cute and fashion-forward looks spotted on the grounds. Crocheted tops, hi-low dresses, laced tops and shorts were definitely some of the popular looks. Big sunglasses, headbands and hats were all definitely mandatory accessories to help protect the eyes from the sun’s rays.
Zoe and Emily at ACL

Emily and Zoe, Austin Music People volunteers, looked stunning in their casual outfits. Zoe’s laced dress and Emily’s outfit worked perfectly for the light breeze that blew through on Sunday. The duo’s accessories are what really caught my eye. Emily’s earrings had embroidery on the edges that definitely added just the right touch to the outfit. Zoe’s seahorse earrings were also very cool and off-beat.
There were definitely many fashionable ladies at ACL this year, too many to count. Maybe next year you will be spotted by the Miss A team. Remember, no matter what the weather may be, dress to impress!
