In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month comes a new event–ART NUDE Philly Exhibition presented by James Oliver Gallery.

Art Nude exhibitions are reaching out to the local community to help support and procure donations for advanced research for breast cancer survivors. This event is bringing together charity, art and awareness for Breast Cancer in the Philadelphia region. This exhibition will showcase women who have battled breast cancer and are beautiful pieces of art because of their fight with such a disease. It will showcase this through various forms of art. The exhibition will showcase the struggles, transitions, grace and strength that millions of women exemplify while battling breast cancer. Art Nude will also pay tribute to those who have lost their battle with Breast Cancer. All proceeds will benefit the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Linda Creed Foundation was founded in 1987 by close ones of Linda Creed Epstein, a Philadelphia native and song-writer who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 37. This foundation was one of the first local organization to address breast cancer as a serious disease that affected and threatened the lives of women in Delaware Valley. Linda Creed focuses on empowering women and their families to talk about breast cancer, learn about it and take control of their health and their lives. The Linda Creed Foundations motto is “we will be there…until breast cancer is not”.
This Exhibition will take place at the James Oliver Gallery. The Art Nude breast cancer awareness exhibition on will be on view from October 27 through November 20. An opening party will be open to the public both Friday,October 26 and Saturday, October 27 from 7-11 p.m. Sponsors include Tashan Restaurant, Morimoto Restaurant, Yard’s Brewery just to name a few. Both days will include body art models, music by DJ Mike Lowry & D-Roc, DJ Hilary White, with a performance by Katie Guidone. Raffle tickets will be sold for chance to win a private dinner featuring a Chef’s Tasting Menu at either Morimoto or Tashan restaurant with the ArtNUDE Philly 2012 event organizers and one of the artists.
