The young and charitable made a fashionable appearance for the 3rd annual Paint the Town Red Gala at Meridian House. The American Heart AssociationPULSE and the Paint the Town Red Host Committee came together to raise awareness and almost $50,000 for the AHA’s mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of hors d’oeuvres and drinks, including the night’s signature red drink made with bourbon and grenadine and Barefoot Bubbly’s pink moscato. Pop Chips and Vita Coco were also on site with free samples and fun photo opportunities.

PULSE, a group of young professionals dedicated to changing the health of a new generation, helps to support the American Heart Association’s childhood obesity initiative, Recess! This program is aimed at fighting the growing epidemic of childhood obesity and building a strong commitment to heart health in the next generation.

The night’s silent auction items included original paintings, sports memorabilia and gift cards to popular DC dining spots. The money raised by Paint the Town Red and the auction will fund future life-saving research, education and advocacy for the nation’s number one and number four killers – heart disease and stroke. At-risk populations in the Greater Washington Region can look forward to better health and improved patient care.
