L Space Swimwear announced that they’re participating in the Stokes Me Challenge, a 30-day fundraising contest sponsored by the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) Humanitarian Fund. The money raised during the 30-day period will benefit 10 surf-related humanitarian non-profit organizations and all of the teams are already off to a fantastic start!
Before the event officially kicked off, SIMA hand-picked the non-profits based on their commitment to projects that improve the quality of life, health and welfare of people from all walks of life. Each of the charities works to improve efforts in areas such as spinal cord injury rehabilitation and prevention, mental health and autism, malaria prevention, breast cancer awareness and education, urban youth outreach, and more. Some of the organizations include Surfers Healing, SurfAid International, Keep A Breast, Best Day Foundation and Waves for Water. Not only are all of these causes important to L Space Swimwear, they’ve been honored at the SIMA awards in the past, so they jumped at the chance to take part!
Once the 30-day period is over, the team who ends up raising the most money will not only win the challenge, but will be awarded with the SIMA Humanitarian Award and will receive a special recognition at the annual SIMA Image Awards in February. Furthermore, a variety of prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers. As one of the most popular brands in the surf and swim industry, L Space Swimwear has a huge following, which they’ll no doubt use to their advantage! Their goal is $250 and they have already raised $100! If you’re looking to support a great cause, there’s still plenty of time to donate and join in on all the Stokes Me fun!
