A group of young professionals in Chicago are passionate and concerned about global issues such as extreme poverty, HIV/AIDS, hunger and lack of access of education.
With the goal of fundraising for people who are living these struggles daily, the nonprofit organization Concern Worldwide will hold its annual Thanks-for-giving Ball on Saturday, November 10 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the stylish Hard Rock Hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago.
Kick off your 2012 holiday season by giving back to people in need around the globe by attending this much-anticipated social event. This year’s Thanks-for-giving Ball is hosted by the Concern Leadership Network, a group of committed volunteers who support Concern’s charitable mission by planning social activities throughout the year.
There are approximately 175 exclusive tickets available for this black-tie optional event. Guests will enjoy an evening of dancing, music, delicious food and open bar, which has been generously donated by Diageo and Goose Island. In addition, guests will also have the chance to participate in a silent auction with great prizes, including two passes to WXRT’s private concert series.
Proceeds from the 2012 Thanks-for-giving Ball will support Concern’s global programs that need immediate assistance. Working in partnership with local communities Concern enables communities to manage and sustain their own development.
