Recap: 4th Annual Bubbly And Brew In Mount Pleasant Benefiting My Sister’s House

The 4th Annual Bubbly and Brew sponsored by Lucey Mortgage Corporation and benefiting My Sister’s House was such a fun time last Saturday, September 29. While enjoying beautiful views of the bridge and harbor, guests dined on tasty treats from local favorites Home Team BBQ, High Thyme Cuisine, Rue de Jean, Poe’s Tavern, Long Island Cafe, The Glass Onion and Kudzu Bakery and sipped champagne, beer and wine given by community donors. Three-hundred and twenty-five folks checked in at Harborside East for a dressy casual party that raised over $36.000.

There was a varied silent auction that included paintings from Charleston Artists Collective, a Sailing Trip with Captain Ron, Interior Design Consultation from Eye For It, six months of Cupcakes from Cake My Day and much more. The live auction got exciting as Chef Clint McCotter’s Private Catered Party sold for well over market value! Party band Love Butter got the crowd on its feet dancing to classic tunes while many others had a good time as they mugged for the camera in the PhotoLily Photobooth.

The festive occasion could not have been possible without the great folks that helped coordinate all of the details. The Planning Committee included Vanya Perez, Chair, Ronii Bartles, Linley Branham, Erika Brown, Hayley Carter, Cindy Davis, Lorrie Dixson, Adam Ferrell, Catherine Griffin, Katie Kosma, Elmire Raven, Cindy Schmidt, Kathryn Smith, Clayton Thompson and Melva Zinaich. Spreading the word and selling tickets, the host committee consisted of Courtney and Baker Bishop, James Griffin, Melissa and Brian Hillen, Jenn and Tom Hodges, Jenny and Joe Keenan, Libby Perry, Rae Phillips, Garrett and Trey Rust, Allyson and Patrick Stewart, and Heather and Gray Tiller.

Additional sponsors included Carolina One, Eskimo Advertising, State Farm, 105.5 The Bridge, Lowcountry Women’s Specialists, Glaser Duncan, Rhino Shield, Piggly Wiggly, Innovative Theater and Sound, Pints for the People, Beacon Communications, City Corridor, Johnson and Lanning CPAsRichard and Cindy Davis, The Raven Family, Jon and Hayley Carter, and Waterstone Financial Services.

All of the funds raised will go to My Sister’s House, the only shelter-based program serving domestic violence victims in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.
