It’s fall and that means it is time, once again, for the Langham Chocolate Bar. My daughter Sophie and I went to the Chocolate Bar with our friends Bianca and Danica. Sophie’s favorite thing is chocolate so I knew if she liked it, then it was a home run.
When we walked in Sophie looked around at all the treats and said, “You are the best mom ever!”
Let me start by saying that the Chocolate Bar, served from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturdays through June, is all chocolate. If you were thinking this might be a fun thing to do for a meal, I suggest you have something light and full of protein beforehand because everything is chocolate. To be fair, they did have handmade potato chips and popcorn to stabilize the sugar spike which was badly needed by the adults.
The “bar” (which is an entire room) was laid out in three sections: dark, milk and white chocolate. On the outskirts was a crepe station, three kinds of hot chocolate, a chocolate fountain and a bar that served, what else, chocolate themed martinis.
My daughter made her way through four cotton candies, as well as ice cream and about a dozen assorted chocolate treats. This “brunch” is a great place to take someone for his or her birthday, as well as a holiday treat or even a shower.
Come ready to indulge!
