From one Washington to the other, Susan Hunsinger is 25 and recently moved back to her hometown of Seattle after living in Washington, D.C. for seven years. She graduated from The George Washington University with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications and is currently working as a legal assistant at a real estate law firm. When she’s not writing or working, Susan enjoys running along Elliott Bay, reading and exploring Pike Place Market for her mostly disastrous attempts at cooking. Previous to Ask Miss A, Susan had an array of internships at KING 5 News, NBC Nightly News, The New Yorker and The Daily Show. Before moving to Seattle she worked as an editorial assistant for DC Magazine and is thrilled to have the opportunity to shine some light on her favorite local charities, particularly those involving children.

StreetWise Partners To Host 5th Annual Taste Of Success DC At Carnegie Institution For Science

Foodies and philanthropists unite!  StreetWise Partners is gearing up for its Fifth Annual Taste of Success DC next month. The event is a culinary cornucopia featuring local food, wine, beer and spirits. It supports the charitable organization’s goal to empower low-income individuals with the necessary business skills to find work.

Over 400 business professionals will be on hand to enjoy the regional fare with such major firms as the Advisory Board Company, Cambridge Associates and Deloitte being represented.

And although this year’s vendors have yet to be announced, if past Taste of Success’ is any indicator, attendees are in for a treat.  District favorites like Circa, Cafe Saint-Ex and Pitango Gelato all participated in last year’s festivities.
