Join District of Columbia Junior Advisory Committee at this year’s Rock, Paper, Cocktails in Old Town, Alexandria to benefit Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA) and Rhonda’s Club on Monday, September 24.
During this fashionably charitable event, you’ll be able to shop at pop-up shops from local designers, boutiques and vendors, including jewelry (rock) and stationary boutiques (paper), and of course a cash bar for cocktails–how clever! Tickets include entrance to the event, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, sweet treats and a chance to win a fabulous prize in their raffle drawing.
“I participated in this event last year, and it was a lot of fun, with great food, fun socializing and, of course, fantastic shopping for unique items created by talented local designers. It’s a great opportunity to donate to an important but under-funded cause and have a wonderful evening, all at the same time,” said local designer, Ruth Barzel.
Ruth will be participating in the event again this year and will be selling her handmade jewelry.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to both OCNA and Rhonda’s Club. Both organizations help save women’s lives from ovarian cancer through fundraising, community engagement, public education and advocacy.
