Originally from Binghamton, New York, Ashley Massis is a small town girl with big city dreams. After moving to Manhattan over two years ago, she is currently pursuing her two great career passions: fashion and writing. Taste Of The West Village Fundraiser For PS. 41

In partnership with American Express and over 25 restaurants in the neighborhood, Taste the West Village will be hosting an outdoor culinary festival of food, live demonstrations, and fun to help raise money for West Village’s PS. 41.

Held in The Yard at PS. 41, guest will enjoy food from notable chef’s like Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, Marc Murphy of Ditch Plains and Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow of The Meatball Shop. Some new and notable West Village hot-spots like Rosemary’s and Swine will also be represented.

This year’s festival will also include an AMEX-sponsored Green Living Creations area where there will be activities to keep the kids entertained such as a hands-on cooking demo with Chef Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, and a “Umami” station where kids will be encouraged to use all of the senses and “paint with their food”.  All proceeds from the event will ensure support of P.S. 41.
