Dawn Hunt grew up in Billings, Montana, and graduated from Purdue University with a B.A. in journalism, creative writing, fine art and design, and anthropology. While in school, she was involved with the university’s press and writing grants and newsletters for the local historical association. After graduating, she lived in London, England, and worked as a staff writer for BeautyAndTheDirt.com. After spending some time traveling around Europe, she worked at Louis Vuitton, then as Managing Editor for Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. It was there that she fell in love with the magazine world and fashion editing. She currently lives in San Francisco with her boyfriend of six years in SOMA, and works as a fashion writer, freelance fashion editor, and stylist. She's basically a fashion/design/all-gorgeous-things obsessed girl who wants nothing more in life than to take what she sees and somehow communicate it to others through writing. She finds the words of the infamous Coco Chanel expresses her feelings best, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
