Dawn Hunt grew up in Billings, Montana, and graduated from Purdue University with a B.A. in journalism, creative writing, fine art and design, and anthropology. While in school, she was involved with the university’s press and writing grants and newsletters for the local historical association. After graduating, she lived in London, England, and worked as a staff writer for BeautyAndTheDirt.com. After spending some time traveling around Europe, she worked at Louis Vuitton, then as Managing Editor for Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. It was there that she fell in love with the magazine world and fashion editing. She currently lives in San Francisco with her boyfriend of six years in SOMA, and works as a fashion writer, freelance fashion editor, and stylist. She's basically a fashion/design/all-gorgeous-things obsessed girl who wants nothing more in life than to take what she sees and somehow communicate it to others through writing. She finds the words of the infamous Coco Chanel expresses her feelings best, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”

Recap: Sassy City Chicks Night Out In San Francisco

Ladies! Fashion’s Night Out may have come and gone is a flurry of posh events, photo ops and free appetizers, but that doesn’t mean the party’s ended. The fashionable women of SassyCityChicks.com hosted a lovely a Sassy City Chicks Night Out here in the Bay City this past Thursday, September 13 at the beautiful Regency Center.

The event itself featured over 30 designers- Isha Couture, Cimber Designs, J. Fein Designs and Belina, to name a few, and the discounts were great! Sample spa treatments and makeup and nail tutorials were available in the extended Sassy Spa Lounge that featured elegant white leather tufted couches and waiters passing cocktails. The complimentary treatments had insanely long lines, but those that were able to be seen left glowing and happy!

However, let’s discuss the main event, the shopping! There were so many great deals to be had if you were willing to do a bit of searching through the many, many racks. Accessories vendors were placed between each of the clothing stalls, so the ability to cordonate was made especially easy. Stella & Dot was also on hand for some exceptionally pretty pieces.

A few new food and fitness vendors were also there to round out the event. All in all, it was a great excuse to grab your best gal pals and enjoy a little R & R on a Thursday night!
