Miss A Columnist

Ashley Craig may be Type A when it comes to her mainstay as an accountant, but Miss A brings out this A’s creative side. While pursuing her Masters in Accounting from the University of Washington, Ashley cultivated a passion for all things beautiful. As a result, you’ll find her talking about anything from the causes of the financial crisis to the best lip plumper. A native Seattleite and current resident of Bellevue, she adores exploring all the glitzy bars, cozy cafes, swanky shops and buzzing beauty salons the Seattle area has to offer. Her other interests include playing piano (she has dabbled in classical composition), techno music and chasing cute animals. If you have a Seattle charity or cultural event, restaurant, boutique, spa, or salon you would like covered on Miss A, please contact Ashley at ashleycraig.bap@gmail.com.

On Wednesday, September 19, Massage Envy Clinics and Spas across the country will donate $10 from every one-hour massage or facial to the Arthritis Foundation. For those suffering from arthritis, the Northgate, Kirkland and Shoreline locations will offer a FREE one-hour massage thanks to donations from Massage Envy Members.

Feeling a little tense?  Unwind with a 1-, 1.5 – or 2-hour massage session with choices ranging from the classic Swedish massage, which relieves stress and promotes circulation with light to medium pressure, to cranial sacral therapy, which releases compression in the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum.

If you’re concerned about putting your best face forward, Massage Envy also offers a variety of facials customized for your skin type. The Environmental Shield Vitamin C Facial works to reverse signs of aging from sunlight, smog, pollution and stress; while the Clarifying Enzyme Acne Facial improves clarity and soothes blemishes with exfoliating natural fruit enzymes, antiseptics, antioxidants and hydrating agents.

Whether you choose a massage or facial (or both!), you can unselfishly indulge knowing that you’re helping to alleviate the pain of others. To schedule an appointment, simply call your local clinic or visit massageenvy.com.
