As a thriving Plastic Surgeon to the Stars, Dr. Rady Rahban demonstrates a trait rarely known amongst his field, selflessness, as he gets ready to leave his cushy Beverly Hills office to embark on his yearly trip to Latin America.
His drive and dedication to the well being of those in need is surely a statement of who he is. His love for the Hispanic culture and his fluency in Spanish has led him to travel to various countries in Latin America such as Colombia, Guatemala and now Paraguay, volunteering his extraordinary talent with the sole purpose of improving the lives of many children worldwide. In the next 10 days, Dr. Rahban will travel to Paraguay as part of Operation Smile, an international charity for children which is a mobilized force of medical professionals and caring hearts that provide safe and effective reconstructive surgery for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. Through the help of dedicated medical volunteers like Dr. Rahban, Operation Smile has provided more than 2 million patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
His generous support to this organization literally has helped create thousands of smiles.
Dr. Rahban attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego. There, he continued to excel academically, graduating in the top 10% of his class. Fluent in Spanish, he was extremely active as a volunteer, serving as a translator and as an assistant in medical missions across the border in Mexico. After medical school, Dr. Rahban returned to Los Angeles, where he completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California. There, he was exposed to the full spectrum of both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Rahban’s numerous accomplishments and his impressive resume afforded him the opportunity to join the prestigious practice of Dr. Garth Fisher, the plastic surgeon featured on the hit ABC television show “Extreme Makeover.” Although Dr. Rahban is an in-demand surgeon among Angelenos, his work transcends the borders of his community. He has since been featured as a prestigious plastic surgeon in the media such as E! Entertainment Television, Style, TLC, L.A’s Best, The Wellness Hour, Beverly Hills Times and Newsweek.
