Join the Walking With Anthony foundation on November 2 in Hangar 9 at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport for a red carpet event that will raise funds to support spinal cord injury victims.
Guests can join EXTRA Special Correspondent and Y-100′s own Michael Yo from “The Yo Show” at the red carpet fundraising event. The evening will also feature a fabulous evening of dining, dancing, live entertainment and silent/live auctions, private jet tours and an on-site raffle for a helicopter ride over Miami that night.
Walking With Anthony was founded in 2010 by Anthony’s mother, Micki Purcell. Born out of Anthony’s devastating spinal cord injury, the charitable organization is devoted to helping people get healthier, stronger and more independent with the goal of being able to walk again.
The event will honor Dr. Allan Levi, chief of neurospine service and fellowship director at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami - who was Anthony’s surgeon – for his on-going efforts and dedication to helping and healing individuals with spinal cord injuries.
Walking With Anthony will also present financial grants to two local Fort Lauderdale spinal cord injury victims – Nick Williams and Chris Hickox – so they can attend the Project Walk Spinal Cord Injury Rehab in Carlsbad, CA for treatment. Anthony, Nick and Chris were all students together at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Ft. Lauderdale.
