Jeannie Thomas is from Hermitage, Tennessee and a graduate student in the Masters of Business Administration program at Tennessee State University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cumberland University. As a career college Instructor, she developed an aspiration for creative and professional writing. Jeannie’s future goals are to complete an MBA degree from TSU, continue to teach at the collegiate or secondary school level, and continue to write materials pertaining to business, education, fun, and entertainment for others. Now Playing Nashville Brings Musical Variety To Centennial Park this Fall

Whether you are into jazz, contemporary, inspirational, or fresh acoustical music, there will be a tune for you every Saturday at Centennial Park from September 1 – October 27, 2012.  Sponsored through Now Playing Nashville, an initiative of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, the organization  promotes a variety of sounds and venues for all genres of music lovers.  Every weekend, listenters can enjoy four separate groups from more than 30 that are on the schedule to perform at the acoustical stage.  Some recognizable bands, singers and instrumental groups that will perform are A Nashville Symphony Quartet, Regi Wooten and Friends, Phil Keaggy, Sixpence None the Richer, and The Vespers. Centennial Park - Acoustical Stage Area

This amazing outdoor event is free, child friendly and pets are allowed! Not only is it open to everyone, there are giveaways,  a mobile food court, Kidsville with fun activities for youngsters, prizes for “Dog of the Day”, and a Beer and Wine Garden.  All activities start at 11 a.m., acoustic music starts at the Acoustical Stage in Centennial Park at 2:30 p.m., and feature groups and bands play from 3-6 p.m.. So plan to enjoy the crisp fall breezes and have some family fun at the park.
