A native of Birmingham, Alabama and Marketing major at Auburn University, Katherine Kimbrell is an aspiring event planner, writer, and PR connoisseur. Music Midtown: Atlanta’s Favorite Music Festival

Atlanta’s music scene comes alive this year with the second re-emergance of the 2012 Music Midtown. Making it’s comeback in 2011, Music Midtown has proven it’s here to stay as one of the city’s largest music festivals. With such big talent awaiting to make its debut in Atlanta, the festival has expanded to two days, allowing enough time to experience the music madness at its best. Music Midtown will be held on two stages in the 10th Street Meadow at Piedmont Park. The range of talent hits every genre from electronic to hip hop to the smooth sounds of soul as well as rock. Music includes the powerful voice of Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine to the Avett Brothers bluegrass rock to name a few.
