Lauren Turner is a graduate from George Mason University with a Bachelors of Science in Tourism and Events Management. Lauren works in the wedding industry as the Sales Manager at The Fauquier Springs Country Club in Warrenton, Virginia. She is also the Catering Manager for Legends Catering and an event designer for Main Street Weddings by Legends Catering. Lauren is a member of the Women’s Wedding Network as well as the Fauquier Warrenton Wedding and Event Network. Lauren has been involved in numerous outside activities including supporting Perfect Wedding Guide at the Washington Bridal Showcases and modeling hair and make-up for Salon Emage’s 2010 televised promotions. Lauren loves designing weddings, working with bride-to-be’s and continues to further her knowledge and expertise in the event design field. Brides On A Dime Expo And Fashion Show 2012

This year’s Brides on a Dime Expo will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. The event is held to assist St. Anthony’s Bridal (a 501 (c)3 nonprofit) in raising funds for brides on small wedding budgets. At the event, any bride with any budget may attend and purchase from an array of wedding gowns, shoes, accessories and more. Brides with a wedding budget of less than $3,000 may have complimentary use of a wedding gown as well as reception pieces for their special day.

Brides qualify for this service by having a wedding budget under $3,000, not hiring a wedding planner, having under 100 guests and hosting their reception within 60 miles of St. Anthony’s Bridal in Bethesda Maryland.

The Expo also features a fashion show with wedding gowns chosen from St. Anthony’s Bridal. Any gown you see is $150 plus tax and other items such as veils, shoes, tiaras and more range from $10-$50 plus tax.
